Paid Time Off Benefits
LBM Advantage recognizes the importance of paid time off to provide the opportunity for rest, recreation, and personal activities. When employees are well rested, healthy, and free of worries from personal emergencies, they are better prepared to perform at work.
Annual, paid time off (PTO) is granted to all full-time regular employees. Part-time employees who are regularly scheduled to work more than 20 hours per week are eligible for a pro-rated amount of PTO as well. Employees are eligible to accrue additional PTO based on added years of service.
Employees are allowed seven paid holidays per year. These include:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
Health & Related Benefits
LBM Advantage has established a variety of employee benefit programs because we understand that comprehensive medical, dental, and pharmacy programs are key to maintaining the good health of our employees and protecting them from future illness.
Full-time regular employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance upon employment. A comprehensive prescription program offers both a mail order program and area participating retail pharmacies.
Advantage offers the option for employees to participate in a Flexible Spending Account program. Employees can set aside up to $2,550 tax-free to pay for eligible health care expenses that are not covered, such as co-payments, deductibles, prescriptions, dental work, vision care and certain over-the-counter items. For dependent care, employees can set aside up to $5,000 in a pre-tax account for payments to a qualified dependent care program.
Financial Security Benefits
LBM Advantage offers its employees a 401(k) savings plan. Employees are eligible to participate and make their own contributions immediately upon employment. Participation is voluntary, and there are a variety of investment options to choose from.
An enhanced short-term disability insurance policy is maintained for regular employees who are required to be absent from work for medical reasons. Employees are eligible following 30 days of continuous employment in accordance with state law.
We also maintain a long-term disability plan which pays regular employees consecutively absent for a personal, disabling illness for more than 26 weeks.
A Basic Group Life Insurance policy is offered for all full-time employees. The cost of the plan is fully paid for by LBM Advantage.
Supplemental voluntary life insurance is available for purchase through payroll deduction for employees and dependents.
LBM Advantage supports employees who wish to continue their education to secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers. In keeping with this philosophy, we have established a reimbursement program for expenses incurred through approved institutions of learning. Employees are eligible to apply following six months of continuous employment.
An Employee Appreciation Day is celebrated with a fun-filled event for all employees. Annual service awards are distributed at the event to employees celebrating long-term anniversaries.
A holiday reception is held to celebrate the season every December. All employees receive a gift and a special raffle is held.
